QatarDebate center- Member of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development -, is making final preparations for the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) that will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from January 17 till 27, 2012. Forty countries will participate in the World Schools Debating Championship, the tournament has evolved with the spread of the culture of debate to the new states were not in before, the tournament are held every year in a different country, and QatarDebate center has participated of that growth and hosted this great event successfully in 2010, and with the participation of a record number of teams - 56 teams from various parts of the world- and this number shows the big difference and how growth and development of this tournament in recent years, it worth mention that in 1988 only 6 countries had participated in the World Schools Debating Championship.
